Toy Box - Vintage-era toys and games

Welcome to my little corner of the Treasure House. I am Barbara's son John, (Uncle John to my niece and nephew) and normally I'm the one who tries to answer some of your questions sent to Support. As a member of the "boomer" generation I'll be the first to admit I'm guilty of being fascinated by all the latest computer and electronic gadget wizardry, but nothing brings out the 8-year old in me faster than looking at and playing with vintage-era toys and games. Those which hearken back to simpler and more innocent times - before video game consoles!

Here at "Uncle John's" Toy Box at the Treasure House, you'll find a unique selection of toys, puzzles, and games - from retro tin toy replicas in limited, numbered editions, to 3D glow-in-the-dark jigsaw puzzles. Our tin toy replicas represent the hand craftsmanship of toy makers from all over the world. We know that collectors are very fond of space and robot themed tin toys. Prices for these toys have skyrocketed in recent years where in a recent auction, a single robot toy, which originally sold for $9.95 in the late 1950s, sold for $60,000! You'll find our prices much closer to earth.

Our puzzles are sure to fascinate and entertain children and adults of all ages. 3D (Yes 3D!) puzzle globes of the earth and moon, as well as distinctive photo-realism puzzles featuring the photography of world-renown photographers. You'll also find we have the latest in Harry Potter collectibles - if you have kids, grandkids, nieces or nephews, you're sure to know who that is!

Here at Uncle John's, er, um... I mean the Treasure House Toy Box, we hope to continue to offer and promote toys and activities that will fascinate and focus on imagination and creative play time - rather than sitting in front of TV/video game consoles blasting away at aliens. (Okay, nothing wrong with that in moderation - I do it too!)
